Master Nick Bretz

Master Nick Bretz, or Master Nick as most know him, is a highly experienced, respected instructor and enthusiastic supporter of the Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do. Master Nick is also owner/manager of the Park Rapids Tae Kwon Do school. With his expert guidance, never ending energy, patience and management skill Park Rapids Tae Kwon Do has grown exponentially over the last ten years, continues to grow, and maintain itself as one of the top schools in the area.

Master Nick received his First Degree Junior Black Belt in 1992 at the age of 10, First Degree Adult Black Belt in 1997 and Second Degree Adult Black Belt just two years later, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in early 2003, he also is a 1st Dan in Kumdo, 'The Art of the Sword' in Korean. Most recently he has attained his 4th dan Master in March of 2007.  Master Nick also holds the rank of 3rd dan black belt in Hapkido, 1st dan black belt in Kumdo and is a self defense instructor, is certified in Korean sports massage and certified in Korean sports dance.

Park Rapids Tae Kwon Do students receive top quality instruction in Tae Kwon Do, as well as physical skills, exercise and flexibility. Just as important students learn leadership, communication, motivation, respect for country, self and others. Master Nick ensures students readiness for requirements and promotion testing as well as tournament competition. He coordinates various competitions, with many of his students recognized at both regional and state-level tournaments. Master Nick identifies the specific needs of each individual student and trains to fulfill those needs. Member of The World Tae Kwon Do Federation, the worlds largest, all student testing certification is recognized internationally. Master Nick is also a member of Lee's Tae Kwon Do Association of Marshal, MN. Come by before or after class and meet Master Nick.
